The Tallow Sun Balm is a natural mineral sunscreen made with non-nano zinc oxide for safe and effective sun protection. Non-nano zinc oxide is used in this formula because the particles are large enough to not be absorbed into the bloodstream. Instead, it sits on top of the skin, reflecting UVA and UBA sunrays. Opposed to nano zinc oxide which is small enough to be absorbed into the bloodstream and known to destroy marine life as well.
 
Formulated with ingredients such as grass-fed tallow, coconut oil, and beeswax, this sun balm not only provides effective sun protection but also nourishes and moisturizes the skin. Its water-resistant properties make it ideal for outdoor activities, while its gentle, unscented formula makes it suitable for all skin types.

How to use:
 
Apply with clean, dry hands 15 minutes before going in the water or desired coverage is needed. Reapply after sweating, swimming, or every 60-90 minutes. Rub it in completely.

You'll see a faint sheen on you skin. That is the non-nano zinc reflecting sun rays. When that is completely gone, about 60-90 minutes, then it's time to reapply for additional sun protection. 
 
Using all-natural sunscreen does mean you have to be extra diligent.

Store in a cool place. Because the product does not have chemicals, it can separate or melt when exposed to heat and sun. If you’re spending the day in the sun, storing in a cooler is ideal. If it does melt; stir to reincorporate ingredients and put in the fridge to solidify.
